A Case of Vasomotor Disturbance after an Antimony Injection

On the day of fourth injection, when I gave him 0.1 gramme, suddenly he complained of severe abdominal pain and pressed his hand to his abdomen and after a couple of minutes he became unconscioushis breathing was very hard, pulse was very slow an" almost imperceptible and saliva was coming out of his mouth profusely. I was very much alarmed at these symptoms of the patient. I immediately gave hi#1 0.5 c.cms. of pituitrin subcutaneously. A minute or two after the injection he passed a semisolid motion and then he began to improve in his condition. His pulse improved, respiration came to normal, and consciousness revived.
